Legendary shaper Joe Bark is known for creating FAST racing and touring boards. He’s the only SUP board shaper that specializes in flatwater speed. Bark worked with his top team riders to test countless 14 foot boards in a variety of locations throughout the United States over the course of more than a year to find the magic formula for the Expedition.
The sleek silhouette gives the Expedition INCREDIBLE glide, making quick work of multi-mile trips, yet it’s very stable even in chop, and surprisingly responsive in surf.
The single fin holds a straight course and makes it easy to keep the board under control while turning or running on a wind swell. The flat bottom and sleek rail line result in very fast acceleration and an ability to maintain speed and glide between strokes.
This is a GREAT board for long-distance paddling. It features a well-placed handle for easy carrying to and from the water and two sets of stainless steel inserts on each rail that can be used with the included nylon/neoprene handles or with Velcro attachments to hold the paddle while carrying the board from the center handle. Two additional sets of inserts are featured toward the front of the board for various attachment options like webbing to store food, clothing, and other gear. Yet another set of inserts is provided to accommodate a GPS device or water bottle cage.
The deck is comfortable to stand on for long periods of time and easy to move around on.
